Finance Internship (Accounting Focus)
Summary
The Finance Intern will support the Accounting and Finance function with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general clerical and administrative tasks. This role provides hands-on exposure to day-to-day accounting operations while working closely with the Controller and broader finance team. The internship is designed to build foundational knowledge in accounting processes, financial systems, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including:

- Data entry of invoices
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including:

- Tracking incoming payments
- Helping reconcile customer accounts
- Provide general administrative support to the Controller, including:

- Filing, document organization, and record maintenance
- Data entry and spreadsheet updates
- Assisting with audit preparation and documentation requests
- Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal processes
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Learning Opportunities
- Exposure to core accounting functions (AP/AR lifecycle)
- Experience working within accounting/ERP systems
- Understanding of financial controls and documentation standards
- Insight into month-end close support and reporting processes
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Effective communication skills and willingness to learn
Education & Experience
- Interest in pursuing a career in accounting or finance
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- This is a temporary, part-time internship position with flexible duration based on academic requirements and business needs
