What are Tiger Career Treks?
Career Treks are immersive learning experiences that allow students the opportunity to explore various industries and career paths by visiting companies and organizations.
Why should I participate in a Tiger Career Trek?
- Gain industry specific knowledge
- Establish valuable connections and engage with employer partners
- Confirm or make informed career decisions
- Learn about internship (maybe job shadowing and co-op for local employers) and full-time employment opportunities
Who can participate?
All currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply for participation in Tiger Career Treks. You will receive an email invitation to participate 1 month prior to the start of the Trek.
How can I participate in a Tiger Career Trek?
Visit Handshake to sign up. Tiger Career Trek dates and registration dates are provided in Handshake. Be sure to check the site for updates.

FAQs
Tiger Career Treks can range from 2 to 4 hours or a span of 1 – 3 days. The length of the Trek depends on the employer partner’s location and availability.
Tiger Career Treks will occur between Monday – Friday. Treks can be local or in various cities across the country.
Employer partners will arrange a variety of activities. Some activities may include company tours, networking opportunities, conversation with alumni, and question-and-answer panels.
Tiger Career Treks are in person.
In some instances, students may be responsible for all transportation-related costs unless otherwise noted. Be sure to read the details associated with each Trek.
Unfortunately, students cannot earn credit for participating in Tiger Career Treks.
Some employer partners offer refreshments and/or lunch. Be sure to read the details associated with each Trek.
Please email Lakeshia Mobley-Edwards lmm0154@auburn.edu as soon as possible. This will grant another student the opportunity to attend.
