- Look to take on leadership roles within the organizations you joined freshman year.

Junior

- Begin the professional Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD)

- Volunteer and provide community service in areas related to health and nutrition

- If invited, join Kappa Omicron Nu Honor Society
- Join the Student Dietetic Association if you have not done so already
- Continue participating in undergraduate research opportunities
Senior
Course Selection
- Apply for a post-baccalaureate supervised practice program (e.g., a dietetic internship), this a requirement for eligibility to take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians and earn the RD/RDN credential

- Ask UCC for help in preparing your résumé and cover letter for dietetic internship

- Continue to maintain your volunteer commitments and continue to seek out additional opportunities to enhance your competitiveness

General Information
The Nutrition/Dietetics option is designed to prepare students interested in completing the requirements to become a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). This option prepares students for careers in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, public health, wellness, nutrition education and counseling, foodservice management, and food and nutrition in industry.
