Company Description
VisioStack provides enterprise data management & business intelligence services that focus on improving operational maintenance in the railway industry. We are an innovative company offering a SaaS subscription service called RailLinks®, a decision-support system optimizing maintenance plans on railways. RailLinks provides increased visibility into maintenance requirements through our advanced Linear Asset Management platform. The platform assembles and communicates information from various data sources, presented through powerful visualization techniques. We are the first company in South Carolina to receive Phase 2 of a contract in Small Business Innovative Research, funded by the United States Department of Transportation.
Location
The QA Analyst will be based in office space in Greenville, SC.
Overview
The QA Analyst is a key role that will help monitor the health and performance of the VisioStack platforms to ensure that they are running as expected and delivering value to our clients. This will include analyzing all parts of RailLinks from the data ingestion process to delivering actionable output through applications such as Rail Renewal.
Responsibilities
Quality Control
· Use the QA Analyst daily checklist to thoroughly test the RailLinks platform
· Review daily data ingestion, understand, and investigate when errors are occurring
· Understand when performance across products is not as expected and investigate the root cause
· When possible, resolve the errors using information in the RailLinks Operations guide
· Provide a daily summary to the Operations Manager on the health of the platform and summary of discovered issues and errors
· Make suggestions for how the daily analysis of the platform can be improved
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
· Self-motivated, ability to work individually or with team
· Strong attention to detail and highly organized
· Ability to effectively present information in a clear manner, demonstrate procedures, and respond to questions timely and succinctly
· Experience in creating documents using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as additional content development programs and software
Preferred skills/qualifications:
· Familiar with GitLab software
· Familiar with technical aspects of railway industry maintenance
· Preferred availability of 20 hours per week
