Event Sales Consultant
The Event Sales Consultant will have the responsibility of servicing and managing inbound opportunities from various sources including: customer created events on the Event Options website, emails, phone call, chat. Most clients have an idea of their needs and the items they would like to use for their event. The Event Sales Consultant will work with the clients with the goal of creating a sale by recommending the best items for their event based in minimizing costs and availability on the specific event date and logistics.
As you become proficient in your role, we would expect your recommendations on how to make the sales process more efficient and easier for clients to confirm their orders.
General Responsibilities:
- Follow up with clients that order online to ensure logistics and costing is accurate so the order can be processed.
- Work with clients directly on the best items to use for their event.
- Schedule Zoom conversations with clients to get a solid understanding of their event and provide the benefits of working with Event Options for their particular event.
- Source from suppliers to attain availability of items needed for your clients events.
- Prepare proposals for clients with recommended items.
- Follow up with clients until the proposal is confirmed.
- Prepare cost sheets with projected P&L for each job confirmed.
- Upon confirmation, provide accounting with the billing and all related vendor agreements.
- Maintain relationship with client and suppliers up through the delivery.
The Event Sales Consultant will work directly with the President of the company and will take direct responsibility for the development and growth of the inside sales department.
As you learn more about the various types of events we service (corporate events, festivals, tradeshows, weddings) and products utilized within each event sector, you will be able to take on more and more responsibility within Event Options. We are expecting you to be a hard-working, self-motivated key employee that can work independently, manage others, think outside the box, wear many hats, and do it all with a great attitude.
