Internships are posted frequently by employers on Handshake as most industries do not have specific recruitment timelines and instead focus on “just-in-time” hiring. 84% of employers post open positions 2+ months before the intended start date. What this means is that if you’re still looking for a summer internship, there’s still time as there are about 73 new postings a day and 2022-2023 saw 26,760 internships on Handshake, with 94% listed as paid opportunities!
Handshake also boasts a number of part-time and full-time jobs. From 2022-2023, Handshake had 141,789 job postings with 90.5% being full-time positions, with about 388 new postings every day. Top industries for jobs in Handshake were Government, Healthcare, Non-Profit, Retail Store, Manufacturing, K-12 Education, Internet & Software, Accounting, Environmental Services, and Electronic Hardware.
