The Auburn University Internship Housing Initiative is a program that seeks to link Auburn students interning in metropolitan areas to Auburn Alumni who serve as host families – mitigating the living cost for students. Currently, the program assists students who have secured crucial internships in the Washington D.C. area. The Auburn University Internship Housing Program is a unique partnership between Auburn SGA and Auburn University Career Services & Cooperative Education available to assist students interning in Washington DC. The program allows you to live rent free with an Auburn alumni host family in the DC metro area.

Interested students must be a student in Good Standing for Summer 2019.


The Auburn University Internship Housing Initiative (AUIHI) is an exciting opportunity and privledge for Auburn University Students. Not only will participating students be able to experience the sights and culture of the vibrant Washington D.C. metropolitan area, but they will also be able to engage with and share experiences with members of the Auburn Family.

Host Families provide a unique connection to Auburn Past, and to your future beyond Auburn as you participate in valuable experiential learning opportunities. As with any program there are guidelines and regulations. Interested students should evaluate the documents provided below to determine if this is a good fit for their particular needs/situation.
