Student Employee of the Year Awards

Award Ceremony: Wednesday, April 15, 2020

The Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) awards are held annually in the 2nd week off April, during National Student Employment Week.

Each year nominees are honored and winners are chosen during a special ceremony sponsored by the University Career Center.  Winners for each category are additionally considered for regional and national recognition.

Auburn University held its first SEOTY celebration in 2002 for on-campus student employees and expanded the program in 2006 to include off-campus student employees.  In 2013, Thanh (TJ) Nguyen became the first Auburn University student to be awarded the National and Regional Student Employee of the Year Awards.

Join us in celebrating National Student Employment Week (April 12-18, 2020) by nominating your outstanding student for Student Employee of the Year.

National Student Employment Week was organized in 1989 by the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) as a means to recognize the invaluable contributions student workers make to our workforce. Student employees provide the support, creativity, and enthusiasm that aid in the operation of our communities and businesses.

Each year in April, colleges and universities across the nation celebrate the achievements and contributions of their student workers during National Student Employment Week.

The Auburn University Career Center is hosting this year’s celebration during the week of April 12-18, 2020 with activities to honor our student employees. Below is a list of this year’s events. Please consider joining us in celebrating the hard work of our exceptional students!
